The Global Search for Education: All That Is Me

Dear all,

Hope you all had a wonderful break.

Here is the link to an interesting article I read.

Anthony Seldon, the head of UK’s highest profile independent schools, Wellington College, discussed the evolution of education in the 21st century and the holistic model that can develop all the aptitudes of each child.

  1. This was such an interesting read. I thought it was very unique that they constructed a curriculum focusing on the development of the children’s “logical, linguistic, social, cultural, physical, personal, spiritual, and moral gifts.” I don’t think I’ve ever heard of a school doing that. I would be really interested to learn more about how they cultivate some of these areas, such as “moral” development. I liked, too, that internantionalism was a primary goal. We live in a global society, and it is becoming increasingly important to be able to look outside of our own comfort zones to other people, places, and cultures for assistance in solving our problems and just to learn more about the world, in general.

    Thanks for the intriguing post!
